As the birthplace of OpenHarmony, Shenzhen has actively promoted industrial development in recent years, issuing a number of OpenHarmony-related policies to create an ecological source.
Lin Yi, deputy director of Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, revealed that by the end of May 2024, 75 enterprises in Shenzhen had participated in the construction of OpenHarmony, with nearly 200 products and contributing more than 14 million lines of code. Among the daily "Top5000" core software applications for Chinese consumers, Shenzhen enterprises have developed more than 550, accounting for more than 10%, covering government services, education and health care, banking and finance, transportation, life security, culture, travel, sports and other industries.
At the same time, Shenzhen trained OpenHarmony developers by setting up relevant ecological innovation centers, building talent training bases in relevant characteristic industrial parks, and encouraging enterprises to independently set up OpenHarmony developer training platforms, and by gathering core enterprises, universities, training institutions and other parties.
Extensive alliance to build Hongmeng ecosystem
Since last September, Huawei announced the launch of Hongmeng native application development, and so far more than 4000 apps have joined Hongmeng Ecology.
At a recent conference on Huawei's full summer scene, Yu Chengdong revealed that the current number of Hongmeng ecological equipment exceeds 800 million. Haitong International said in the research newspaper that Huawei is only a C-side HarmonyOS, while B-side is completed by partners using OpenHarmony. Therefore, the two sides are divided into two routes, and Hongmeng OS focuses on the "1x 8N" strategy to achieve the interconnection of terminals in the whole scene. Open source Hongmeng is oriented to the vertical field of the industry, infiltrating embedded hardware to the south and promoting the development of supporting commercial software to the north, so that Hongmeng can spread out and build the Hongmeng ecosystem in more industry fields at the same time.

Softcom Power recently said on the interactive easy platform that in terms of open source Hongmeng, the company created the industry's first operating system SwanLinkOS with cross-instruction sets, released Shangxian software release and transportation software distribution, and took the lead in completing the adaptation of OpenHarmony operating system intel chip based on X86 architecture on the PC side.
Jiulian Technology, which has been deeply cultivated in the ecological field of Hongmeng for many years, is the core co-construction unit and class A donor of OpenHarmony, and ranks first in the contribution of OpenHarmony backbone code. In 2023, Hongmeng ecological related income accounted for more than 10% of the company's total operating income, the business covers a number of application areas, and related products have begun to take shape in the market.
At the conference on May 25th, Yu Chengdong said that in order to provide a better experience for consumers and the industry, HarmonyOS will share a unified application and service ecology with OpenHarmony tripartite commercial distribution operating systems and products, share a Hong Meng ecology, and build a complete intelligent terminal operating system, including development languages, compilers, and development tools.
On the same day, the technical standard for unified interconnection of OpenHarmony devices was released. According to reports, the technical standard aims to build a unified ecology, and according to the design principle of "universal, modular, and scalable", it realizes the interconnection between cross-industry equipment based on OpenHarmony, and promotes the effective promotion of the achievements of joint construction projects in different fields. At the same time, it also further attracts more developers and enterprises to join the OpenHarmony construction, and jointly promote the prosperity and development of the ecology.
