GAZA, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- People in the Gaza Strip remain trapped in an endless nightmare of death and destruction, as new evacuation orders have been issued by Israeli authorities, the UN agency for Palestine refugees said on Friday.

The new evacuation orders were even inside the so-called "humanitarian zone," and once again, fear spreads as families have nowhere to go, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said on social media platform X.

UNRWA called for "listening to the people, even just once," emphasizing that what people urgently need is an immediate ceasefire.

The agency also urged the release of hostages, the provision of humanitarian aid, and the protection of civilians in Gaza, pointing out that people are desperate, exhausted, and anxious in Gaza, Israel, and many parts of the region.

Earlier on Friday, the Israeli army ordered the evacuation of all residents and displaced persons from several blocks in the neighborhoods of East Deir al-Balah, Al-Qarara, Al-Mawasi, Al-Jalaa, Hamad City, and Al-Nasr in Khan Younis.

Against the backdrop of the exploitation of the humanitarian zone for "terrorist" acts and the continuous launching of rockets towards Israel from some blocks, being in these blocks has become dangerous, and therefore these blocks are no longer considered part of the humanitarian zone, Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee said in a statement.
